If you want to be added to this list ahead of time, just send headshot and resume to: casting@woodlandtheatre.com and indicate which audition night you plan to attend.

Callbacks: Friday, March 2nd at 7pm

Rehearsal and Production Schedule

ALL ROLES OPEN.  Seeking strong actors / singers / dancers.  Also looking for interesting character types.  Prepare 32 bars of a song of your choice in the style of the show.  To be considered for a particular role, also prepare the song and sides listed below.  There will be a movement call.  Please bring appropriate shoes. 

NOTE: Any actor interested in being seen for one of the gamblers, besides Nicely-Nicely, should prepare the Benny Southstreet material listed below.

Character Breakdown:

Sky Masterson – A handsome gambler with a commanding presence. (Baritone: B to E flat).  Age: 25-35. 
Prepare: I’ve Never Been In Love Before / Sides

Sarah Brown – The prim and proper leader of the Save-A-Soul Mission. (Soprano: B to High A).  Age: 25-35.
Prepare: If I Were A Bell / I've Never Been In Love Before / Sides

Nathan Detroit – An irresponsible, but lovable gambler engaged to Adelaide for fourteen years. Comic timing a must. 
(Baritone: D to High F).  Age: 35-45.
Prepare: Guys and Dolls / Sides

Miss Adelaide – Classic showgirl. Nathan’s long-suffering fiancé.  Comic timing a must. (Mezzo-Soprano: A to D).  Age: 35-45.
Prepare: Adelaide’s Lament / Sides

Nicely-Nicely Johnson – A gambler. (Tenor: D flat to High B flat). 
Age: 25-45.
Prepare: Sit Down You’re Rockin’ The Boat / Sides

Benny Southstreet – A gambler. (Baritone: D flat to High G). 
Age 25-45. 
Prepare: Guys and Dolls / Sides

Arvide Abernathy – Sarah’s grandfather and a member of the Save-A-Soul Mission Band. (Baritone: D to High F)  Age: 55+. 
Prepare: More I Cannot Wish You / Sides

General Matilda Cartwright – Matron of the Save-A-Soul Organization. (Mezzo-Soprano: E-High A or C)  Age: 50+ 
Prepare: Sides

Lt. Brannigan – NY Cop.  Nathan’s nemesis, out to prevent the crap game.  Age: 40+
Prepare: Sides

Gamblers – (Including Rusty Charlie, Harry the Horse, Angie the Ox, Big Jule, etc.).  Looking for all character types.  Strong singers.  Dance ability a plus.  Age: 25-45. 

The Hot Box Dolls – Sexy show girls who work with Miss Adelaide. 
Age: 20-35.  (Strong singers and dancers). 
Prepare: Take Back Your Mink

Agatha, Calvin, Martha – Members of the Mission Band.  Age: 40+

Note: Ensemble will cover a variety of various walk-on and cameo roles
